H. S. Vigeveno became a Christian when he was twenty-one. He graduated from UCLA and Princeton Seminary. He was born near Berlin in Germany. His father was from Holland and Henk was Dutch because of his father. They lived in Germany and Holland before coming to America six months before the Nazis conquered Holland. How this influenced his life he tells in Truth and Terrorism. While still studying at Princeton Henk became the pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Absecon, N.J. He ministered in the Atlantic City area for nine years. Sunday mornings before preaching at 11 am, he was on radio for 2 hours talking and playing pop music. Sunday evening he and a Methodist minister answered phoned in questions for an hour. He prayed about broadcasting in a larger market and became pastor of the South Hollywood Presbyterian Church and then on the staff of the first Presbyterian Church of Hollywood. For 20 years in the 60s and 70s he recorded a message every Sunday on a secular music station.He was called as the interim pastor at Solana Beach Presbyterian, then other San Diego churches. For 16 years he was the pastor of First Presbyterian church of El Cajon and retired in 1999. Since 1987 he taught homiletics at Bethel Seminary, San Diego and is still teaching. He is the author of 17 books.
