We all have desires; they are varied, but they are desires nonetheless. The Bible says, if we delight ourselves in the Lord, He shall fulfil the desires of our hearts. Every heart has desires; it could be the desire for a life partner, a desire for promotion at work, or for finishing your college degree and so forth. Yet sometimes the desires of our hearts can really take so long that you begin to wonder if they will ever be fulfilled. The things you have been praying and believing God for, seem to take ages that you begin to question God, if He has forgotten you. Sometimes you ask if your desires will ever be fulfilled.
Of course, when you are in such situations even a short time can seem like a lifetime. It is a point where some of us wonder if something is wrong with us, but in most cases, nothing is really wrong with you. It is not your fault; it is just the nature of the processing of the things in time. Yet those are some of the questions we frequently ask ourselves; why me? How comes? How do I keep on loving and trusting God yet my desires are unfulfilled; my prayers have not been answered?
