Telling him about land that I was interested in buying and he not telling me that the owner had returned my call, and then the land was sold, proving that I could not trust him. Then a year later, it was back on the market, so I purchased it without telling him for about 10 years, trying to figure out if he could be trusted in telling him about the property. Then the market crashed and some shark investors were trying to steal it from me saying that it was in foreclosure, by slapping a foreclosure sign on the front door, after I paid cash for it, but was having to wait months for the closing, because the couple who bought it, had to take out two loans from two different banks, one being in the state of Oregon, and also, the owner was arrested multiple times for drugs. It took about 9 months to finally close on the property, which in the meantime I was spending money, working on making improvements on everything. I went through many challenges of facing my fears, in making many decisions for the first time in my life alone. I then rescued a horse, that had been abandoned for 3 years, 100's of pounds under weight, abscessed hooves, bite wounds and non- responsive and only after buying him and bringing him back to health physically and mentally, spending years of time with him and having him evaluated by professionals, did I discover that he was a diamond in the rough, both English and Western trained. Which explains why the original owner named him Homer, after the great epic writer, who was believed to be 400 years before his time. Homer, repeatedly proved this time after time, even after saving a teenager boy's life as well as my own. Discovering how human my horse was and how investing time with any pet, brings out a human aspect, builds on unconditional love, that helps one to have trust in humans.
