If you are a mother, you should read this book.

I encourage ALL moms (regardless of how old their children are) to read this book. There is something empowering and validating about realizing that even your darkest fears/secrets/fantasies/etc. have been thought or felt by someone else. You know, the ones you can't even share with the play group moms, the PTA moms, or even your BFF lest you be judged. It is a super fast read and I defy you to finish it without saying at least once "wow, that's totally me." I borrowed this book from the library but I plan to buy it so I can read it at least once a year to remind myself that no mom is perfect and I'm doing a pretty good job, despite the way I feel sometimes.

Any Mom can relate

This book really made me feel like I was normal! We all have days that we would like to run away from home but sometimes you think your the only one feeling that way, not after you read this!

Thank you for another book about real moms, with real feelings. The perfect moms that exist on TV commercials are a myth! There are no perfect mothers and True Mom Confessions will help more moms realize that no one is perfect---and that being real is the best way to mother your children. Loved this book, bought some for girlfriends for Mother's Day!

A fun, easy read, True Mom Confessions offers a refreshing look at truth about motherhood from the ones who know: real moms. With so many books about parenting offering blanket answers to the myriad of complex questions facing moms, it's great to finally read something that voices the reality of motherhood; it's hard, and we often have to make up our own answers as we go along. True Mom Confessions is poignant, hilarious, heart-warming and sometimes heart-breaking. One mom confesses that her son thinks that between 8 and 9 am she's fighting the monster in the laundry basket so he'll stay in bed longer. Lassally offers a witty, down-to-earth take on these gray areas of motherhood. Motherhood can be so lonely and we moms are often riddled with guilt as we feel like we're the only ones falling so short of the expectations we put on ourselves and society holds us to. True Moms helped me realize that I am far from alone and that none of us have it all figured out. This is definitely a must-read for moms in every stage of motherhood. It made me laugh and cry, like a much needed heart-to-heart with a close friend.

Couldn't Put It Down - Both Touching and Funny

This book made me laugh and cry. I didn't expect it. As I read some of the confessions I wondered how did they get those quotes from me! I have said those things - especially the 'gas station' statement. I have so much to say as a mommy and even if it's not pretty, I still need someone to talk to. Moms need friends and other moms to confide in. Mostly I need someone to laugh and share my 'crazy' mom moments with...and that is what this book is, moms processing the unspoken truths...Sometimes it feels good to know we are all in the same boat.
