Taken from the foreword written by her sister: "Your mouth tells your story all while keeping you alive" - Bits of the body (True Heart 2025.) The story of your life is a book unfolding, and only we live to tell the true story; I said this to myself as these words reverberated in my head. Hi, I'm Toyo Obembe. I'm an aspiring poet inspired by many of the poems in this book. I am the twin sister and best friend of the author of this book, Toyin Obembe. I was chosen to write this foreword because I am one of the closest people in her life, and I am also a writer. I am very grateful for the opportunity to write this foreword. This book evokes a torrent of feelings. It crescendos from the beginning of the book, to the end. Its strong wording and morals will creep their way into your heart as you slowly fall in love. When reading this book, I started to think differently about myself. I began to see life from a different perspective. These poems were the key that unlocked a lot of the mysteries and questions I had about life, and in some way, they answered them. After reading this book, I think it's safe to say that I do have a "healing" heart. Having a "healing" heart is a heart constantly being mended contrary to the infamous belief of a "perfect" heart and realigned God's standards. Reading True Heart turned my healing heart into a true heart. Get ready for this book to open places you didn't know existed. Watch it change your heart, slowly, without you even noticing you're coming out on the other side. - Toyo Obembe
