True Consolation

Sorrow upon sorrow can threaten to overtake us and plunge us into the depths of despair, as we struggle to come to terms with the temporal and feeble nature of this present life. A life which, despite its many promises and riches, provides us no lasting consolation. Yes, all that is given to us here can so easily be lost in the course of a day. And yet we, in our shortsightedness, so often cling to earthly happiness...without giving a second thought to the care of the soul.

However, God deeply craves for us to seek Him, and turn to the ways of truth. For Christ knows, that this world will never provide us with the joy or fulfillment we desire.

True Consolation is an inspiring and thought provoking collection of poems, written by a chronically ill young man who struggles to cope with life's many challenges...feeling often alone and forgotten by God.
