True Colors

Sheigh and Clighton, sister and brother---queen and king of Red since the death of their parents. Just recently, dark riders of an ominous Color out of legend have been seen in their realm. What does it mean? So the reader is drawn into this beautiful and beautifully-written fantasy. The description is evocative and vivid. The characters are equally so, and very real, due in large part to the deftly-crafted dialogue, often witty and highly entertaining. But this is a serious story. From the detailed chronicle of the characters' lives, and the often surprizing twists and revelations of plot, the story expands into the much larger dimensions of its underlying theme, and becomes in the end majestic and moving, even transcendent, in the way that all good prose and poetry transcend the words that give them being. I highly recommend this book to all ages from teens to seniors, to anyone who loves good fantasy. _____DWO
