Lost on the trail Lori is forced to dig deep into her soul to find the strength to go on. But will inner strength be enough? Given her grim circumstances she chooses to believe her husband's words: even ordinary people can do extraordinary things.

I found the book Trudge to be very inspirational, a real story from a real woman with real issues, who has the guts to hike the JMT at 50 years old. The challenges she faces, and the blessings she encounters. I love how the book was written and how she persevered. I have had the pleasure of meeting the author because the book club I belong to got to have her as a guest. Lori encourages woman (and men) to write their own story. Author lives in same area as I - so I really enjoyed hearing about Yosemite and the JMT - even though I will not be able to hike it, I felt I lived through Lori.
