Although Athena misses her truck-driving daddy when he's on the road, she thinks he has the most amazing job in the world. She loves showing off her love of all things trucking. But her classmates don't quite get her or why she calls herself Trucker Kid. Can Athena change their minds and show the other students that it's cool to be Trucker Kid? Highlighting a child's pride for a parent's job, author Carol Gordon Ekster and illustrator Russ Cox remind readers of the essential role truck drivers play in their everyday lives.
This is a Children's book that I read to my twin boys. My husband is a trucker, and his big rig is bright red too. My boys just loved this book. I also loved that in the back of this book shows how important it is to have truck drivers. I love this book so much, and I found it to be so cute. I loved the pictures. I will be buying my boys a copy of this book when it comes out. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.
Note: I have since purchased a copy of this book.
