Truck Art with a Ladder Man Color and Story Book

Simple to mention my education was basic high school equivalency along with great depths of self-education. I'm proof that anyone can do anything if you give it your all. It made everything possible for becoming a self-publisher and to share my art journey. 2013 was a change from economic independence altered with health issues. My work was enjoyed as customer service with a strong passion. A daily schedule entailed communication with an average of 100 people a day. There were many personalities faces and reactions of experience at every turn. The art choice I favor is expression of feeling as for my experience from real life and subconsciousness imagination along with a touch of lightheartedness. My only intentions are to bring a smile to those who care to look at my work and a pleasured gift to leave this kind of footprint. I am grateful for the experience in this opportunity of accomplishment. A direct result from a broken home as a child had also produced the same in my adult life. Having three beautiful children as my whole life's treasure was devastated in the estrangement of the bitterness. This being the hardest experience that one never really can recover but to try and live the best that can be expected, under such conditions. It's this point when one must be one's own best friend in order to survive, the loss never subsides. You just must except things for the way they are. Moving forward with more time than I could possibly spend on myself became a journey of self-goals. Basically, my entire life was always most important to do for others and leaving myself short was fulfilling to me. Life changed in the opposite direction and one finds it difficult to put yourself first before anyone or anything else. Self-compassion must be learned as I find the abundance of time with no regulations. I had to make a goal. My desire and compassion now were to help my dearest friend and assist him in his personal challenges of his later year's employment. This gave me meaning of importance. He is a roofing salesman in a congested area of Phoenix, Arizona. Everyday appointments are mostly early in the morning along with congested traffic. I became his carpool ticket as he did an average 150 to 200 miles a day from roof to roof. We could spend ten or more hours a day in his truck. I had his company and all the mini behaviors from happy to sad. I had his attention when I would doodle something funny to hopefully destress his reality demands. Laughter goes along way and we kept each other amused many times. This is where my quirky art was born, and I could only draw when he drove the truck. We covered over 160,000 miles together. I joked about the two of us being like astronauts in a capsule. I called my drawings "Truck Art" with my pillow on my lap and a blank piece of paper on the clipboard every morning. It was important for me to produce something on the road and bring it home at the end of the day. My personal 5-year goal was 1000 pictures between 2014 to 2019. When the drawings were finished, there was self-publishing achieved and now I am sharing it with you. Different ages of pages from young to old. Here is a list of my other books. It is my hope that you or someone you might know, will enjoy coloring. Everyday was a different page.My books are sold on Amazon. My email is beckyhosick@gmail.com and I am on Facebook too.Thank you, Becky Hosick
