Frank Peace, Troubleshooter

Frank Peace, Trouble Shooter, for the Union Pacific railroad. This is the story of the building of the transcontential railroad as only Ernest Haycox could tell it. This is also the basis for the movie, Union Pacific, starring Barbara Stanwyck and Joel McCrea. Historically accurate, fully detailed, filled with hazards--boiling deserts, rugged mountains, Indians, and outlaws--no one does it better. If you want to know about the history of America in the West just pick up a Haycox novel and enjoy finding out. He is the master of the historical novel when it comes to anything about the west in the 1800's.
