"Trophies Takes You on a Wild Ride!"

This adventure novel has a bit of everything to tempt you:the thrill of the hunt in the Russian Far East, unforgettablecharacters, and the mystery of a post-communist country. Thereare good guys--Jack from America and Andre the Russian guide-- pitted against poachers who seek the ultimate prize, the enormous endangered Siberian Tiger. It's helicopters and computers in the midst of an environmental wonderland of volcanoes and bubbling geysers. The setting is Kamchatka, a peninsula about the size of Japan, washed by the Pacific Ocean and the Bering Sea. Two things it's known for are brown bears and military installations. But you soon come to believe Andre when he says that the Russian people have a great affinity for the land and nature. The story moves quickly and the characters are caught up in several calamities that test their abilities. Jack and Andre find themselves moving instinctively together as old soldiers in combat.It's a story for the twenty-first century, employing the use of modern technology but still presenting universal concerns that affect the entire human race.This novel takes you on a wild ride: I highly recommend "Trophies" as a good read for everyone!

Environmental Adventure Thriller in Kamchatka, Russia

Not your typical adventure novel! A real page-turner that educates the reader as well. Takes place in modern-day Kamchatka, where Russian politics and criminals control the wildlife trade, natural resources, and environment. Once I started the novel, I couldn't put it down!
