Good Spelling Practice

This book compliments the Harcourt Trophies Second Grade Language Arts/Reading Curriculum. I use this set for Homeschooling. I did not order the Spelling book for first grade. Instead I had my daughter take a pretest day 1, copy the words she missed 3x day 2, write a sentence day 3, spell the word orally or use tiles for day 4, and did a post test for day 5. For second grade, I decided to order this book. There are 3 pages for each weekly list. There are 30 word lists. The lists in this book match up to the lists in the Practice Books for Just for You and Banner Days. At the front of the book are a few pages which help students learn how to study words. The spelling worksheets will be a great variety for my daughter next year. Each lessons does a few different exercises with the words, so the worksheets aren't exactly the same each week for the word lists.
