Dani is a singer in her early 40's who has great talent but has had no luck in her career. She is suddenly "discovered" by two has-been record producers, Goldberg and Solomon, who cling to their dream of having a hit record again. Believing Dani can make their dream come to fruition, they sign her to a production deal. Goldberg and Solomon drive Dani around in their Jaguar; the last remnant of their once thriving career. Their only connection left in the industry is Hari Kari, an Asian record producer and his all-girl group the Spicy Pussies (a combination of the Spice Girls and Pussy Cat Dolls). Hari wants his group to cross over from the Asian to the American Pop music charts. He strikes a deal with Goldberg and Solomon to do just that. Dani's overbearing Italian momma does not want her to succeed in show-business. Momma goes out of her way to thwart Dani's efforts, even going so far as to fake a marriage to Goldberg. Hilarious scenarios abound as the characters try to outwit each other in their quest for retaining friendship and family, while finding fame and fortune. The story suggests that one can achieve their goals with perseverance and support. The script is written with present day North Beach, CA as its locale.
