A good math book

I bought this for my college trigonometry class. I think this book is actually really great. It explains things very nicely and bases everything off of the unit circle. Once you know the unit circle, you are able to do everything else in the book. It was very easy to understand.

Still needed assistance

I'm not good in math, and still needed assistance when using this book. I feel the author could have explained set values a little better. For instance, in the beginning chapter, she gives set values for the circle but failed to explain that they were set, leaving the student confused initally as to how she came up with the values. Eventually, I dropped the class as I was not doing well.

My name is Dave Nosanchuk and I am a mathematics instructor at Oakland Community College. This was my first time teaching Trigonometry and I found Mrs. Aratari's Trigonometry - A Circular Function Approach to be a very well written math book. It provides students with very good step-by-step examples, well written exercise sets with clear and straight forward instructions, valuable chapter summaries, and chapter tests. The Student's Study Guide and Solutions Manual contain worksheets for each chapter that the instructor and students complete during class. These worksheets make teaching the class a lot easier because they indicate the important concepts to discuss and the order in which to discuss them. I was so impressed with the use of these worksheets that I have begun to adopt them into my teaching practices. Although the worksheets take a substantial amount of time to create, I feel that the benefit to my teaching and the students far outweighs the time spent. It was a pleasure to have these worksheets prepared in advance, especially now that I know how much time and efforts is spent on this preparation. As an instructor, I found that by using the worksheets, my preparation time was reduced as much of the work has been done for you. In addition, the Instructor's Testing Manual contains multiple versions of section quizzes, chapter tests and final exams. These tests are formatted such that they are ready to be used, unlike other test banks that require the tests to be re-written before using.

Best math book ever

This is the first math book providing the student with everything needed to succeed. It reviewed the chapters in a chapter summary, gave chapter tests, reviewed previous algebra knowlege along with clear and straight forward instrunctions, easy to understand. This book is just great.
