These puzzles cause accelerated current flow in the neurons, which is always a pleasant sensation

There are two general types of puzzles in this book. The first is an extreme close-up photo of a common device and a caption with a hint and the second is a textual riddle. Most of the photos were fairly easy to resolve, there were only a few that stumped me. On the other hand, some of the riddles were very hard. My favorites among the riddles were the riddles spouted by the members of the Quantum family. They are obfuscations of well-known nursery stories and as an example here is the one that appears on page 43. "A Lilliputian female who was an unmarried Homo sapiens seedling decided to moor herself on a bit of volcanic detritus in order to gormandize on casein and other forms of coagulation. The next cognitive realization she had was when an arachnid arbitrarily decided to settle on the same volcanic detritus, resulting in her terrorized withdrawal." Answers to all of the puzzles are given at the end. While these are not the hardest of puzzles, they do cause accelerated current flow in the neurons, which is always a pleasant sensation.
