Ten-year-old Trevor Sage-el describes his life at home and at school, his feelings about being son of a white mother and a black father, and what he likes and does not like about being biracial. This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is a great book. I have two little nephews ( 10 and 9 ) who are bi-racial and I plan to share this book with them. I will have them for a few days during the holiday season. The illustrations are real, colorful and show Trevor and his family so well. The content is easy to understand and the explanations as to what it feels like to be " bi-racial " are presented in fine fashion. I recommend this book highly... not just to those who may have bi-racial children in their family but for teachers, as well. It would be a good lesson... especially now whereas so many more children are bi-racial in this world.
