Good for adults and children

I use this book fro CCD classes, but originally bought is for myself. It has carefully drawn illustrations on the edges of the pages that keep children engaged. It also has small prayerful reflections next to verses and historical content at the bottom of many pages. In the back of the book, there is an illustrated dictionary of terms. When reading any word that is located in the dictionary has an asterisk (*) next to it so one knows he/she can look up the term or word in more detail. Toward the end there is a section of Christian prayers. The book does not contain any whole book of the bible, but the most important sections from each book. In addition, it includes books from the Catholic Bible such as 1st and 2nd Maccabees and others. The running commentary on most pages is clear and insightful for adults as well as older children (7 and up). The pages use a nice heavy paper and the binding is solid. However, the only thing I don't like about the book is the actual cover.
