This book was born out of my love for the devotional books of Oswald Chambers and, especially, Amy Carmichael. I began writing personal insights into Scripture in my morning devotional time, beginning in 1981. Years later, it is being published. Many profound personal changes have taken place in my life since I first began writing this, and the struggles and joys have just deepened my confidence in the strength and insight the Lord gave me in the writing. Final additions were added recently, to complete a 365-day devotional book.

The Scriptures are most helpful when they become personal. I hope this book makes His Word personal to you and encourages you to dig deeper in your own quest for intimacy with the Father. Let His Word dwell in you richly and root downward into all that you are and have.-Gregory
