Book Overview

TRAVERSING PHILOSOPHICAL BOUNDARIES is the most comprehensive multicultural anthology for introductory philosophy on the market today. Addressing six primary philosophical concerns--the self, reality, epistemology, ethics, politics, and religion--this book contains not only many readings from the Western canon, but also essential readings from many cultural perspectives not typically included in introductory philosophy classes. Asian, African, African-American, Latin American, and Feminist traditions are broadly represented and fully integrated into the exploration of these fundamental matters. The text also includes several readings from the sciences, with selections from Charles Darwin, Stephen Hawking, and Jared Diamond.

Fast Delivery at a Price

I signed up late for a course at my local community college and the book was not available at the campus bookstore. Since the class was during the summer session I didn't have any time to waste. The textbook arrived the next day in time for the first day class. If it wasn't for the overnight shipping the book was actually less than the bookstore. Very pleased with the fast turn around.

pleasant experience

As I previously reported, this was a really good experience, on time delivery and a textbook in excellent condition. Keep the good service, thanks.

Excellent Text

This book was really helpful to me and I had the privilege of being taught by Dr Hallman. I usually sell my books at the end of the semester but this one was definitely a keeper. I especially liked the way the author explored different angles and that was able to broaden my mind.

Great addition to your library

I found this text to be a great addition to my library. I admit I wasn't too much into it during the semester while being bombarded with all my classes, but I picked it up a second time and started reading. From then on it's helped me explore my life to find a deeper meaning and has also helped open my eyes to the world around me. This compilation of great writings rock! The only addition I would like to see is perhaps a selection from Jose Ortega y Gasset but, other than that the pages are easy to read and the book definitely takes a beating. Nobody should be disappointed by this vast richness of insight. Kudos to Dr. Hallman!
