Good for Singles & Couples

I have the fifth edition of this book. That edition is divided into two parts. The first is "Great Group Vacations for Sigle Travelers", and the second is "Solo Travel Know-How". The first section lists vacations where a single person would feel comfortable. The author includes contact info. for each listing, including websites. I was interested in several of the art instruction vacations, and went to the websites given in the book to find out more about each program. This book is a good overview of many different types of vacations where singles are common or would feel comfortable. Since most of the programs listed are not exclusively for singles, couples could also use the book to find a ranch vacation or cooking vacation, for example. The author has also included info. specific to seniors, single parents, and single women travelers. If you are researching vacations, this book is a good source of information & inspiration.

Every woman must read it!

As a newly divorced avid traveler, this book gave me the courage to continue my travels sans partner. I took the author's advice on African tour operators (OTC)and had a wonderful experience. Guess what? I met several other single travelers at our Botswana lodge and never felt alone. Now I'm planning a tour to China.
