Fairfield is a short drive from New York City and is located along the edge of Long Island Sound. Stamford, Darien, Norwalk, Westport, Fairfield, and Bridgeport are all part of it. Good eateries, with a concentration in Norwalk's SoNo neighborhood, a seaside district with a slew of chic restaurants and stores. In Bridgeport, there's the Beardsley Zoo, Discovery Museum, and Barnum Museum; in Norwalk, there's the Maritime Aquarium and the Stepping Stones Museum for Children; and in Stamford, there's the Stamford Museum & Nature Center.
