Next, we'll make ourselves comfortable at the picture-perfect Driskill Hotel. A wealthy cattle farmer constructed it in 1886 to be the "finest hotel south of St. Louis." Austinites love its Romanesque architecture and ornate details. Of course, we couldn't help but take a peek at one of the most spectacular sites in Austin, the Texas State Capitol.
