Transgression, rights and social work

The theme of this book is transgression. We want to suggest that it be understood as an attitude or behavior of indignation, of non-submission, of refusal to the established, when it prevents the realization of the human, of freedom, of democracy, in short, of the values that affirm the social being. Starting from the materialist, historical-dialectical referential, it is our objective to treat transgression as a cultural-historical category, produced in the life of men, in specific dimensions and also thought by them theoretically. In this sense, it took the form of disobedience, highlighting its historicity in the field of politics and ethics. In our analysis, we consider that, professionally, we could think of the transgression of institutional norms not as a political principle, but as an action when facing certain situations where the institutional norm or the posture of certain members of the institution prevent the realization of rights. Here are the transgressions, punishments and protections of some Social Service professionals who sought the realization of rights in our society.
