guide for leaders of UMVIM teams

This small volume is large in focus. Many of the 8 (daily) themes are great for helping volunteers see what they will encounter on a mission experience. I created a devotional guide for Volunteers in Mission team members using those themes. Upon our 2008 return from 10 days in Tonga, my word/photo summary presented to national and regional agencies was guided by Jane Ives. Thank you, Jane!

Very helpful information

This little volume pinpoints several issues missionaries must face. Using an easy flowing style, Ives helps those who have never been on a mission field prepare to minister in a foreign culture. The examples help emphasize the importance of understanding the host culture. It contains helpful information especially for those who are just getting started in missions, whether over the short term or the long haul.
