The author does an excellent job giving background information about the Sutra of Golden Light that is hard to find as well as giving key insights into the passages of the text. Written with a worldly, down-to-earth wisdom from a Western perspective that is refreshing and nondogmatic. If you are new to the Sutra of Golden light, this is a must have companion text.
