The articulation between theory and practice is an essential link in the development of psychoanalysis. Recovering this relationship, especially with regard to the formulation of the concept of "transference" based on Freudian clinical experience and its Lacanian (re)reading, is strategic for understanding the limits and scope of the analyst's work.
