The transfer of personal data involves the transmission of data from one place to another. This data may include identifiable information such as name, address and telephone number. Data is often transferred for commercial or research purposes. In C te d'Ivoire, such transfers are mainly regulated by Law n 2013-451 of June 19, 2013 on the protection of personal data and requires prior authorization from the protection authority (ARTCI) with the aim of protecting the confidentiality and security of the data of the persons concerned. This study is a contribution to strengthening the protection of personal data under positive Ivorian law. It highlights the shortcomings of the current system and suggests ways of strengthening it. The aim is to prevent information and communication technologies from undermining privacy.
