An exciting turn of the century autobiography from a courageous sailor

This book is such a fabulous way to learn about history. Picking up in 1905 as steamers start to overtake sailing ships, Sir James Bisset takes us on a tour of the world through the unpredictable oceans and new (for the time) technology. He is a fantastic story-teller and his experiences on the seas give him ample material for adventure. Highly recommend for anyone interested in this time period, in the great luxury liners, or adventure on the high seas.
