All my books are based on different stages of my son's life. Liam is now four and he is a sweet inquisitive boy who can either be outgoing and talk your ear off, or shy and turn into a "kitten" that hides behind me. I wanted to write a book about making friends, but I also wanted to address the importance of being open to friendship with people who seem different, a twist on "not judging a book by its cover." Train Track Dubey is a story about a lost kitten trying to find his way home, and the friends he meets along the way. There are lots of creatures in this book, including a mermaid, a spider, and a sloth. This book explores what can happen if you are open to unlikely friendships and the importance of getting to know those that are different from you.
