Michael Ashe is one of the few old enough to remember the time before the wars that destroyed his home and family. Now he travels, scrounges, and survives the only way he knows how, by himself. Following the rumors of places of safety and security, each an empty hope. Now he heads in the only direction he's yet to try. An area supposedly free of radiation and the dreaded roving cannibal bands of madmen...
