I loved it!

These guys used expensive navigation technology before LORAN or GPS was available for General Aviation aircraft. Nonstop from a jungle strip in Columbia to NE PA. This is a super book for aviation enthusiasts...... and aviators.

Amazing Book..BUY IT!!

This book is great. I've read it 3 times already. i live where this all took place in NE PA. I've been to the locations, heard the stories from people on the fringe of it all, and have found it immensely fascinating that this all took place where I grew up while I was a little kid. this would make an awesome movie. Scranton isn't only known for "The Office".................

best smuggling book I have read

I am a pilot, so I can tell you that the details of flying and working on airplanes are very well done. This is an utterly fascinating look at an era when we were losing the drug war badly in the air. Of course now it is harder to do what these guys did, so now we are losing it at the Mexican border instead.

Fantastic Book!

Few people capture the essence of storytelling so well. Rice has explained an American truth so well that you won't be able to put the book down until you're done, and when you are you will find yourself lending the book to friends and finally buying several copies more and doing the same. It will open your eyes to the world so close you had no idea it was just next door. No matter if you're a couch potato calling plays with your remote control, a cubicle cruncher waiting for happy hour, a stay at home PTA member, or a pilot flying the dark hours of the night alone in a cockpit wondering if you should have trusted the skinny guy with the white shoes and the twitch... This one belongs under your car seat...your shelf...or your flightbag...

Outstanding Account

The book is an outstanding account of a typical drug ring and the circumstances used to hide proceeds etc. It is very well written and keeps the reader engrossed in a world unknown to the majority. It is a must read for anyone who wants to glean knowledge of trafficking etc.
