Screw unto others as they screw unto you.

This book is hilarious. It instructs you that, once you are stopped, the traffic court will find you guilty 90% of the time regardless of how impeccable your defense. The book does a good job of setting these expectations, and redirecting your goals. Sure, the system is an unfair game designed to take your money. However, the system is a game nonetheless, and you may as well have fun playing it.A cop pulled me over in Brandon, Mississippi for speeding 10 miles above the speed limit. The cop didn't know exactly how fast I was going, so he wrote me a "Careless Driving" ticket. In Mississippi, the careless driving statute is worded so vaguely that there exists no effective defense against it. Calls to several lawyers as I prepared to fight the charges confirmed this fact. So I bought this book and prepared to fight the charges myself rather than spend $250-500 on an attorney. I still lost in court, but had the most fun for $82 dollars that I have ever had in my life. Not only did the cop perjure himself several times, but by the end of the trial, the prosecutor was literally screaming at the judge, screaming at me, his face was fire engine red, his hands were shaking, and his closing arguments were nothing more than how he wasn't going to stand for this from someone who's not even a lawyer. I have only two suggestions for the book. The book suggests seeking legal resources at the library. However, State Code and State Supreme Court case law is available online these days, and this book should really instruct the reader on how to find these resources. Secondly, while I realize that the author is attempting to provide only an outline of general traffic defense methods, the author also claims to have tried several thousand traffic cases. A few more real-world examples would have done wonders for this book.

Get this Book!

If you have been issued a ticket then get this book. It will help you prepare and win in court. If you haven't got a ticket yet, definitly get this book; then you will know what to say and do before you get pulled over. This will make winning in court much easlier. I have read four other books on this subject and this one is the best hands down. This book has saved me from getting a ticket by knowing what to say: ie "I was following the flow of traffic". The cop wasn't happy with me, but since I was following him, he didn't write me. If I haven't read this book, I would probably admitted to speeding and tried to talk my way out of it. That wouldn't(and hasn't) worked. But knowing what to say caused the officer not to write me; Not because he didn't want too, he just know I would win in court. I wasn't admitting anything. PS: I like cops. I have had friends who were cops, but I don't like that they are forced into writing unneeded tickets by local governments who just want to raise money! If they don't write enough tickets, they lose federal highway funds and state funds. The police are told to write x number of tickets are their budget will be cut.

"An absolute must for anyone representing themself."

The perfect book for anyone representing themself in court against a traffic ticket. The author presents a clear, concise, step by step guide from the time you get the ticket through the court precedings. With this book, no one should just "pay the ticket". Take it to court and WIN with this easy to follow, detailed instruction book written by someone who has represented thousands of "ticket cases" in court. And the author has a good sense of humor to help you get through the process without it seeming to be "brain surgery". I won my case without even getting to court.
