Traffic at the Ivy is set in contemporary New York City. It follows three affluent teens who get caught in the fray of a multi-century-long conflict between two secret magical societies: the lightweavers, and the shadowcasters. The shadowcasters have long since been cursed to dwell in the subway tunnels beneath the city, but the curse that ties their souls underground has begun to weaken. The shadowcasters are slowly beginning to creep out of the woodwork, wreaking small bouts of chaos around the city. As all three teens are separated, they begin to unearth their own ties to either side. Tensions escalate, and a vengeant turf war seems imminent. Will Theo, Chase and Ellie wind up enemies, or allies?
