Bangkok is one of the world's most traffic-congested cities, and although there have been many attempts to address this problem they have tended to focus on traditional top-down solutions which have lacked general public support. This report considers the findings of the Rattanakosin Project, conceived as a pilot project based upon a 'bottom-up' participatory approach to address these planning and development issues. It contains 12 integrated action plans to deal with the identified major issues in transportation in a comprehensive and integrated manner.
