She's bartering for a house, not her heart.
Forever-optimist nurse Sierra Carpenter has one major flaw: watching too many online videos and thinking they're real.
Her best friend's twin brother-and handyman-Dak Lowe has a problem of his own: wanting Sierra, even though his sister, Dani, forbids it.
Now that Dani is engaged, Sierra is in a rush to find a new place to live, but her slim bank account can't support a higher rent. So when an idea strikes, Sierra decides to barter her way up to a house. After all, she'd seen it done online.
However, Dak isn't about to let Sierra drive around meeting up with strangers who might mean her harm. As Dak tags along to keep Sierra safe, feelings he thought time and distance had dulled come rushing to the surface. But when Sierra starts to fall for him, Dani gets in the middle-armed with a decade-old promise Dak never meant to break and can't ignore. Inevitably, someone won't get their way, but who?
Will Sierra end up with a house she dreamed of or a broken heart she never meant to risk?
