As someone who works with breast cancer patients on a daily basis, I'm thrilled this little book with a big message is here: There is life after breast cancer. A patient of mine going through treatment handed me the book and said, "Make sure each of your patients receives a copy!" Great advice from a patient.

As a friend of someone going through life's unexpected "tragedies," I didn't know how to help. Someone at my workplace gave me "Trading Ashes." I found all the advice at the back of each chapter so helpful--especially for family, friends and caregivers.
Inspiring!

After finishing this book, I wrote down 7 things I want to do before I die. I never thought about it before, dying, I mean, but I never had a life-threatening illness. This book is more about living life with purpose and meaning than dying. I loved the last chapter--living life passionately. I highly recommend this book; I gave it to a friend who is going through a really hard time--I know it will help.

As a friend of someone who was just diagnosed with cancer, I was at a loss at what to say. Trading Ashes for Roses gave me not only the words, but practical helps and hints at the end of each chapter on what to do. This is an eloquently written book about a survivor of breast cancer who bears her soul, but unlike a lot of cancer books, this one leaves you inspired! The author shares how cancer was a stepping stone to finding new meaning through loss. I gave the book to my friend and said, "I understand." Finally, someone wrote a how-to book on what to say to someone going through this experience. It's an easy read and has a beautiful cover!
