Dark and satisfying!

There was just something satisfying about this dark tale! I must say I quite enjoyed it and watching Camille find her way through the strict rules of a trad wife social media influencer lifestyle (which seems irresistibly popular nowadays for reasons I cannot fathom), looking for happiness and love from her husband (who is a total prick!) by having a baby to tie them together (and get more views on social media). Yeah, I knew it was really dark and there are some fairly graphic bits including human consumptions and a couple murders by the end but I had to admire how Camille still loved her child and that ending worked well. I wholeheartedly approve of strong, free women, instead of those who choose the trad wife way of life with its shiny exterior (at least what is shown online). The author's note at the end was spot on as well. So, if you like a bit of horror, social commentary on current social media fads, and a breaking free of traditions and expectations, then you will enjoy this book. I am super glad I got the chance to read it!
