Toyah Ann Willcox, born on 18th May 1958 in Kings Heath, Birmingham, West Midlands, England, UK is a musician, actress & TV presenter. During a career of over 40 years, Toyah has had 8 top 40 singles, issued more than 20 L.Ps, written a couple of books, appeared in over 40 stage plays and 10 movies & voiced and presented many TV shows. From 1977 - 1983, she fronted the group Toyah, before going solo during the mid. '80s. At the BPI/Brit Awards of 1982, Toyah was nominated for British Breakthrough Act & Best Female Solo Artist, being nominated again in this category in 1983 then 1984. Her biggest hits include 'It's a Mystery', 'Thunder in the Mountains' and 'I Want to Be Free'.
