Toy of the Gods
Some ruins should stay buried.
Leslie Kicklighter used to chase adventure for a living. Now she just wants to put her life back together, and a guided jungle tour seems harmless enough.
But a millionaire CEO has decided to make this trip ambitious, including a visit to ancient ruins no one was ever meant to see. He will pay any price to reach the end of his journey.
What they wake in the Amazon jungle is far older than greed.
An Inca god, obsessed and ancient, has been waiting centuries for a successor, and he's certain that person is hiding among these tourists. He strands them in the world's most remote jungle and refuses to say what he wants or which of them he's chosen.
Now Leslie is the only one who knows how to survive out here. Hunted by mercenaries, hated by an entire village, and stuck with a group of helpless tourists who are looking to her to save them, she has no choice but to lead. Between ruthless bandits, a shady plantation owner, and a troop of drunken monkeys, danger waits behind every tree.
The jungle is hostile. The CEO won't turn back. And the god is watching.
