This book focuses on the decontamination of water polluted by heavy metals through a complexation process, using a newly synthesized and characterized thiosemicarbazone ligand. The results show that this ligand has a high chelation capacity towards metal ions in aqueous solution. The kinetic study carried out highlighted the influence of experimental parameters such as pH, temperature and contact time on the efficiency of the process. The results confirm the formation of stable complexes and significant elimination of heavy metals, underlining the potential of this ligand for water pollution control applications.
