Numerous publications examine the consequences of tourist activities. Warnings are frequently issued about the dangers and risks involved. It makes little difference whether these are environmental or economic risks and their consequences. There are certainly some unpleasant side effects. Yet these are an inevitable part of the current stage of development. Let us simply look forward with joy to how the qualitative enjoyment is multiplying enormously. How cultures and peoples scattered across the globe are getting to know one another ever better, and how new forms of human joie de vivre, growth and development are emerging. More and more people are travelling around the globe to marvel at and admire the marvellous work of creation everywhere. The author hopes his remarks will encourage a rethinking of the situation. Just as in earthly life as a whole, there is no shortage of possibilities and realities here either. Everything is available in inexhaustible and marvellous abundance. Scientific and technological development in numerous fields also minimises ecological risks and, with increasing awareness, promotes sustainability in tourist destinations.
