Tourism development of any locality must get active participation of all categories of people, specially the local people. Local people mean

people residing at the destination area. Tourism being an environmentally dependent industry, the involvement of resident population is a sine quo non for its sustainable development. Ignoring the demand and well being of the indigenous population at the costs of tourism development, the coexistence of tourism and the local community is ordinarily being questioned.
