Leyland spins a gem 1992

I root for the Tigers, and enjoyed the book a lot - obviously in 1996 Leyland worked his magic. I do wonder though if he has progressed with the times as regards the VERY sub par performance(s) of the Tiggies last year.

The day to day life of a Major League manager.

Peter Pascarelli did a great job of presenting the 1992 Pittsburgh Pirates and the struggles Jim Leyland and his team went through. One of the more enjoyable baseball books i've read. It's a shame Peter Pascarelli's work isn't more widely available.

Great Baseball Book!

This is a terrific baseball book for those that want to understand the complexities of managing a team in today's economic environment. While it focuses on my team, the Pirates, it does reveal alot about today's managers. I highly recommend it to any baseball fan!
