Essential business reading - not just for PR people

Highly recommended for ANYONE who may have to speak to the public - whether this is customers, reporters, politicians, local officials - you name it, even the parents of the kids in your classes. The advice here can usually only be gained after many years experience, and perhaps some failures... The advice/tips/recommendations are essential for being well-prepared, and staying calm and collected in heated situations. Excellent, practical advice that you can apply to everyday situations immediately. "Tough Questions Good Answers" is a must-read.

Helpful, pragmatic, insightful - a must-read for execs

Unlike many other business and PR books that simply give you unrealistic examples, "Tough Questions Good Answers" has practical advice and real-life insights that virtually anyone can use, not just the chairman of the board. Most importantly, Calcagni's insights can apply to the many tough questions we face along the road - whether those questions come from a public meeting, angry customer or constituent, frustrated board member, or difficult reporter. Smart, savvy and interesting: highly recommended.

This is great book for everyday life and work.

This book is very entertaining, not another self-help book. Learning about the tricky questions reporters use has made listening to questions and how they ask them more fun than people watching. I don't do news media interviews but I find now, whether I am writing a report for my boss or doing a presentation for a group of employees, I use the techniques in this book. And, when the questions start I answer them and then bring back to the subject and points I want to make. On a more entertaining note, my roommate read it and now during the presidential debates we discuss how well each candidate answers a question and what their message is.
