States Of Confusion is not your average maze book in that it takes you from a major city to the capital or vice versa. Most maze books take you from the outside to the outside of a puzzle. Because the cities--in most cases--are located well within the state boundaries, this allows the artist to "wrap-around", that is, take you in circles to the answer. The patterns are different enough to be interesting. Unlike some maze books, the puzzles are challenging but not so difficult to the point where you give up or lose interest. And you actually might learn something in the process. I highly recommend this book for kids and adults of all ages.
