Life is filled with expectations and is sometimes met with triumph and disappointment. However, there is a constant through all the turmoil of life. The ever-present companion to life is love. It is there when our children are conceived; it is there when our children come into this universal phenomenon called life. Love is all around us, it is in the air we breathe the water we drink and the food we eat that is prepared by someone's loving hands. Love dances on the flame of a romantic candle and swims in every glass of white zinfandel wine it is the consummate matchmaker. Love brings families together and can sometimes tear them apart; a very strange thing love, it is my shield from all the noise, of all the things that would like to imprison love. Love is the true essence why these poems were written and one other but I just hope that you the reader will enjoy reading them as much as I had writing them. Take them into the bubble bath or to the park or even in front of the fireplace and watch love blossom into something you won't be able to control between you and that special someone. Love is and will always be what you will do with it.
