Henson was attending a meeting with the late healing evangelist Kathryn Kuhlman when she saw the Cloud of the Spirit present in the large auditorium. As she watched, scarcely able to believe her eyes, it moved across the auditorium. When the rain falling from the Cloud touched her, it literally threw her out of her seat. Linda, a confirmed evangelical Christian who was very uncomfortable with what she considered to be radical beliefs and practices, was forever changed. She states, "All my defenses and arguments against the power of the Holy Spirit to work in lives today were gone. My pride was gone...For the first time, I understood miracles do take place today." After the experience of water falling from the Cloud, Linda began to note all the references in the scriptures to water; she realized that God was making what she calls "cameo appearances" throughout the Bible in the form of water. In her newly published book Touched by the Rain, Linda documents the many astonishing instances of the Holy Spirit at work in her life and the lives of others around her. She shares biblical references and numerous instances of God's presence as revealed through water, giving personal accounts illustrating the biblical truths. In allowing the Holy Spirit to guide her life, she and her husband have been blessed to witness numerous instances of signs and wonders, healings and salvation. Henson is the great-granddaughter of a Midwestern circuit-riding preacher and a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God churches. She holds a BA degree from Oakland City University and studied counseling at Otterbeine Seminary. She is currently a missionary in residence at Zion Bible College in Massachusetts.
