Make straight in the desert a highway for our God Isaiah 40:3 What does it mean to be a Christian according to the teaching of Jesus and according to the New Testament as a whole? What is the key to that abundant life about which Jesus spoke? Why do many Christians find that they are not going anywhere with their Christian lives? What are the inner dynamics of the life in Christ? What is it to have a living and dynamic faith? What does commitment to Jesus mean? These are some of the questions to which an answer can be found in this book. Reverend Eric H.H. Chang was born in Shanghai, China in 1934. He came to the Lord in 1953 as a result of experiencing the Lord in a series of events. The Lord opened the way for him to leave China in 1956. He was at the Bible Training Institute (B.T.I.) in Glasgow, Scotland, completing the training there in 1959. At the urging of Principal Andrew McBeath to go on to further studies, he went on to London Bible College. He then graduated from the University of London, where he pursued studies in Arts & Divinity. The Lord then led him to minister to a church in Liverpool. While in Liverpool, he received ordination which was administered by his dear aged friend, the Reverend Andrew McBeath. Some years later, he was invited to minister in Montreal, Canada. The Lord blessed this ministry too and the church expanded from a relatively small work in 1976 into a fellowship of some 25 churches today. By the grace of God, the churches continue to grow under the Lordship of Christ, Who alone is Head of the Church.
