I ordered 15 of the book The Total Temple Makeover, by Jantz. Very quickly I received an e-mail from one company saying they did not have it. After that I received e-mails from all over the USA stating when the book was shipped and from whom. Then the books began arriving - all in very good to excellent shape. Some had been well used but well cared for - others didn't look as tho they had even been opened. We began a Temple Toner Class using the book as text - This class is sponsored by our Health Ministry Team at church. We have two classes each Wednesday - one at 9:30 am and one at 6:30 pm to accommodate the schedules of the 15 who attend. We weigh in, discuss the weeks thoughts and ideas, share receipies, encourage each other and pray a lot. We are coed and not only help those needing to lose weight, but those who wish to keep toned and those who need to gain. We also have a 4 day a week exercise class - some of our members can not take part in it but all have lost. Our group as a whole lost 56# the first 12 weeks we were in existance. That was before the Total Temple Makeover became our text. Thanks for your help in getting the books and for them being here on time!

I've been in a weight loss program sponsored by my church for 13 months, and having great success during the sessions. But during the months between sessions, I was having less success until I found this book. The book is organized as easy daily readings over a 12 week period, covering everything from the basics of nutrition and exercise to the emotional reasons so often behind overeating. It is useful both for losing weight at a sensible sustainable pace, and for keeping excess weight off permanently. I've now read the book three times, and find newly-useful info each time I do. I recommend this book highly, either for individual or couple study, or for use as a small group discussion tool. As of today I am 46 pounds down, and still losing at a very heathy and sustainable rate of about a pound a week. Part of the credit for that goes to this book. Update: It's now 2-1/2 years later. I ended up 80# down overall, with a "normal" BMI throughout the past year since. This is still a book I often recommend.
